The Genelec 4040A active loudspeaker contains drivers, power amplifiers, active crossover filters and protection circuitry in an integrated design. The advanced Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) provides excellent frequency balance in challenging acoustic environments. Combined with the Genelec Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) which is made of die-cast aluminium and shaped to reduce edge diffraction, the system provides outstanding audio quality. It features Genelec Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS™) circuitry which switches the loudspeaker to standby when no audio input is detected (ErP 2013 Directive).
